- According to Saiva Sithandam, Lord Shiva is the Supreme God who is a Great Flame without beginning and end.
- Shiva God transforms into some form of statues, idols, and lingam. This is for all living beings to worship, and this is the mercy of Lord Shiva.
- Accordingly, God has no birth or death and transcends time. Even the idol of the Nataraja Statue has no belly.
- The essence is one, and that is Lord Shiva. Certainly, God creates, preserves, hides, destroys, and graces all the organisms and beings (Atmas).
- Many other gods perform their duties under Mahadev’s god. Hence, all the Atmas on Earth and Devalogam also pray to Lord Shiva.
- There is no Shiva Temple in Devalogam, so the atmas visit the temple on earth.
Vibuthi
- Mahadev God uses ashes to indicate that nothing is permanent in this world and that we are all going to be ashes one day.
- Ashes is also called Vibuthi. Generally, on the forehead, we apply Vibuthi with our 3 hands.
- The 3 lines indicate Anavam, Karma, and Mayai. Vibuthi has been used to treat a wide range of illnesses, including colds, fevers, and other ailments.
- There are many incidents in Puranas where the Vibuthi cured many diseases in the human body.
- Applying Vibuthi can always save us from dangerous acts.

Workshipping God by his Grace
- The Mahadev God attracted us to work with him. Our karma is the reason why we are drawn towards God. ie. The relationship we had with God in our last birth.
- The love and affection we showed in our previous birth towards God is also a reason.
- Even that is the grace of God and “worshiping God by his grace” in Sivapuranam.
- Hence, all the Atmas are worshipping Lord Shiva and Parvathi. Vishnu, Brahma, and other gods are worshiping gods. Even the ants, spiders, and elephants worship Shiva to get God’s grace. There are some examples in Periya Puranam (Shaiva Sidhandam).
To Uplift a Soul
1. The books that are used to study and know about God are Shaiva Sitthandam Books.
2. Those are the books that came directly from God (Kailayam) to mature all the atmas.
3. So that Atmas can reach Sivalogam at the end. If we worship Mahadev God by saying the Shiva Siva mantra daily, we can increase our concentration, brain power, & capacity. We can get rid of karma a little.
4. Eventually, we get enough maturity to get wisdom. With God’s wisdom, only we can feel the presence of Siva the god.
5. On getting maturity, we can get access to Sivalogam. Wisdom can be gained by practicing meditation and activating Kundalini energy.
6. Even the Kundalini Shakthi helps us to uplift the soul in this birth.
Lord Shiva Presence
- God, Lord Shiva, his presence is there everywhere in the world and universe.
- In every organism, God’s presence is there. Lord Shiva Parvathi is monitoring all the work that we are doing and thinking.
- Always, Parvathi Shiva is within us to perform the required tasks in our lives. Mercy is the embodiment of God, and he is in the form of love.
- Shiva Parvati is the one who is the Giver of Rapture and gives Mukthi, or Moksha, as he is present in all the beings.
- Siva, the god, is without pleasure and pain. Therefore, God is found in the hearts of true Shiva devotees.
- Lord Shiva Parvathi always meditates because he is the Giver of Rapture and gives a chance for all souls to reach Sivalogam.
- All other gods worship the Lord Shiva as the essence is one. God gives his qualities to the True Shiva devotees to reach him in Sivalogam, as Lord Shiva lives in Sivalogam.
- We can feel the presence of God inside us. Especially, the presence can be felt with regular meditation and following some ways to attain Mukthi or Moksha. i.e., escaping from the birth and death cycle.
How can I receive Lord Shiva’s love and mercy?
As a result, the Lord Shiva Goddess Parvati is everywhere and beyond everything. The universe is present in Lord Shiva’s presence. It should be observable through meditation. Through the continuous practice of meditation, one can achieve this stage. Only we can worship Lord Shiva by his grace.
Qualities to be there to get Lord Shiva Mercy
For us to properly use this birth to approach God in the SivaLogam, God gave this birth to us. The main focus of a soul should be receiving the grace of the Lord Shiva. For that, we undergo certain activities that bring God’s attention to us. Lord Shiva Mercy brings all the necessary things into our lives.

- To get Lord Shiva’s mercy and to reach God, we have one way.
- According to God, we want to be moral. If we do not have morality, it is difficult for us to reach God.
- What are morality and the needed qualities to get Lord Shiva’s mercy? There are discipline, love, grace, etiquette, courtesy, relationships, meditation, donations, greetings, work, and enlightenment.
- Certainly, if you come across this quality, then the god (Lord Shiva) gets compassion on one soul.
- Further, let us see in detail about these qualities.
Discipline
- Discipline Corresponding to the Exalted.
- It is the most important quality of devotion.
Workship
- If we see God, Shiva Lingam, idols, and statues in the temple, we should worship God to receive God’s mercy.
- We should also worship the saints and Shiva devotees. We should worship with them & mingle with them.
Love
- Our love should come from deep inside the heart.
- So that it develops a relationship with God.
- If we show caring to the known person, that is considered love. We show love to unknown people; it is grace.
Courtesy
1. We should do courtesy to God by showing the flag, showing the umbrella, helping Abhishekam, incense, lamps, and cleaning the temples.
2. Hence, all these are curtesy. With this Courtesy, we can express our love. Therefore, this is one of the opportunities.
Relationship and Meditation
- Friendship with everyone. We should be in a position to forgive the people who hurt us. We should not do any wrong things to other people.
- We should have a good understanding that if any suffering comes to our means, it is the reflection of our karma.
- This tolerance should be there inside us, and we should have patience.
Donation
We should donate some things to the poor people.
Greetings and Workship
- We should worship and greet the elderly people.
2. We are in the line of morality if these things are followed in our lives, and the new manners should be inherited specifically.
3. It will be visible that we are in the morality. If we embody all the qualities, God shows mercy and grace upon one’s soul.
4. These are the things that are given by the God (Lord Shiva) in Shaiva Sidhantham Books.
5. If we do all of this regularly, we will have passed the test that Lord Shiva gave us and will be eligible for his mercy.
Therefore, the main focus should be doing good activities for the people. Visiting the temple daily creates a bond with God. We should do Shiva Pooja daily to get the grace of Lord Shiva.
